Trans Flag Day 2020
The transgender flag was designed on 19th of August 1999 by Monica Helms, an activist trans woman from America. The flag represents diversity and transgender rights and the unapologetic pride of being transgender. The flag has made the trans community visible and united. It has become an internationally recognizable symbol.
⠀ On August 19th, 2020, the transgender flag will be 21 years old. ⠀ That’s why we want to celebrate this day with a special “Anniversary Transgender Flag Day” event on Friday the 21st of August, from 16h until 20h, in Muziekkoepel/ Musicdome Oosterpark, Amsterdam Oost.
⠀ We would like to invite all the amazing people to celebrate this day with us in a festive meetup in the park with special people, drinks, food, with music from Ricciotti Ensemble and lots of pride and love! ⠀ *Because of Corona we have a limit of 100 people.
