Today, May 17, we commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexphobia and Transphobia. It is a day on which organizations draw international attention to the phenomenon of hatred based on sexual orientation, gender identity, expression, and gender characteristics. The day is also known by the English abbreviation IDAHO or IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia), IDAHOTB or IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia).

Vandaag 17 Mei staan we stil de internationale dag tegen homofobie, bifobie, interseksefobie en transfobie is een dag waarop organisaties internationaal aandacht vragen voor het verschijnsel haat op grond van seksuele oriëntatie, genderidentiteit, expressie en sekse kenmerken. De dag is ook wel bekend onder de Engelse afkorting IDAHO of IDAHOT (International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia), IDAHOTB of IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia).
