Patri Roa Johansen aka. LatinX Charm Patri Roa Johansen is a Colombian trans man who grew up in Denmark and is now based in Amsterdam. He is a musician, artist, and a Drag King.
Everyone can participate in this workshop no matter their previous experience. Each person has their own process and their own reason to show up, that will be respected and no one will for instance be having to put makeup on if they don’t feel like it.
We encourage people to bring extra clothes and makeup if they have any, otherwise, there will be things to be shared at the location.
The first workshop will be exploring what drag can be, and teaches participants how to get started with drag.
Participants will exercise on paper how to apply make-up based on various examples (mostly for drag kings). Then, participants will be encouraged to play around freely with make-up and/or clothes. There will also be an optional catwalk moment, in which participants can show off their work to each other if they want to.
#1 First workshop will mainly be exploring what drag can be – How to get started with drag

• Makeup examples (mainly for drag kings)
• Free Play with make-up and/or clothes
• Optional cat walk moment (with music)
The second workshop revolves around creating a drag persona. Participants will again do various exercises on paper in which they work on their own drag persona. There will also be exercises exploring various drag expressions. Participants will once again be encouraged to play around freely with make-up and/or clothes.
At the end of the workshop, there will be an optional performance opportunity in which participants can show off their drag, do a dance, lip-sync, or something else.
#2 Second workshop gives the opportunity to try out your drag persona – How to develop your own drag persona

• Exercise on paper working on drag persona
• Movement exercise working on different drag expressions
• Free Play with makeup and/or clothes
• Optional stage opportunity to show your Drag, do a dance, lip-sync or other
After each workshop, participants can stick around for snacks and drinks.

Patri Roa Johansen alias. LatinX Charm Patri Roa Johansen is een Colombiaanse transman. Is opgroeide in Denemarken en nu gevestigd is in Amsterdam. Hij is een muzikant, artiest, en een Drag King.
Iedereen kan meedoen ongeacht ervaring. Ieder persoon heeft hun eigen proces en hun eigen redenen om mee te doen. Dat wordt gerespecteerd en niemand zal make-up op moeten doen als ze dat niet willen. We moedige mensen aan om hun eigen kleding en make-up mee te nemen als dat kan, er zullen ook dingen op locatie aanwezig zijn.
De eerste workshop staat in het teken van ontdekken wat drag kan zijn. Deelnemers leren hoe ze met drag kunnen beginnen. Deelnemers krijgen oefeningen waarin ze eerst op papier make-up aanbrengen, gebaseerd op verschillende voorbeelden (vooral voor drag kings). Daarna worden deelnemers aangemoedigd om vrij te spelen en te experimenteren met make-up en/of kleding. Ook zal er een optioneel catwalk-moment zijn, waarin deelnemers hun werk aan elkaar kunnen laten zien als ze dat willen.
De tweede workshop staat in het teken van het creëren van een drag persona. Deelnemers zullen opnieuw meerdere oefeningen doen op papier, waarin ze werken aan hun eigen drag persona. Er zullen ook oefeningen zijn in verschillende drag expressies. Opnieuw worden deelnemers aangemoedigd om vrij te spelen en te experimenteren met make-up en/of kleding.
Aan het einde van de workshop is er de mogelijkheid om een optreden te doen, waarin deelnemers hun drag kunnen laten zien, en een dans, een pip-sync of iets anders kunnen doen.
Na afloop kunnen deelnemers nog blijven voor snacks en drankjes.
