Celebrating Transgender Day Of Visibility TDOV 2022 in the spirit of Lucette at the Manor Hotel

International Transgender Day of Visibility is an annual event occurring on March 31 dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide, as well as a celebration of their contributions to society. The day was founded by US-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan in 2009.
On March 31, starting at 20:00, TransAmsterdam is celebrating the International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) in The Manor Hotel at Linnaeusstraat 89, in Amsterdam-Oost!
On a yearly basis, we gather for the TDOV, which was founded in 2009 by transgender activist Rachel Crandall from Michigan. On this day, we raise awareness of the discrimination many trans persons face, but we also celebrate the existence of our community together.
Come join us to catch up with other trans people and our friends, enjoy tasty snacks and fun performances and, if you want to, take part in a TDOV photoshoot. It will be a welcoming event with lots of music, and with special guests.
At the event, you can just show up without needing to sign up beforehand.

De TDOV, die in 2009 opgericht is door de transgenderactiviste Rachel Crandall uit Michigan, is een dag waarop we jaarlijks bijeenkomen. Op deze dag vragen we aandacht voor de discriminatie waar veel trans personen mee te maken krijgen, maar ook vieren we met elkaar het bestaan van onze gemeenschap.
Kom bij ons evenement langs om bij te praten met andere trans personen en onze vrienden, te genieten van lekkere hapjes en leuke optredens en eventueel mee te doen met een TDOV-fotoshoot. Het wordt een evenement vol gezelligheid en muziek, en met speciale gasten.
Je hoeft je niet van tevoren aan te melden.
